Types of numbers

I thought it would be interesting to see what some of the different types of numbers are in Japanese.

実数 – じっすう – real number
有理数 – ゆうりすう – rational number
無理数 – むりすう – irrational number

虚数 – きょすう – imaginary number
複素数 – ふくそすう – complex number
分解型複素数 – ぶんかいがたふくそすう – split-complex number
二元数 – にげんすう – dual number

二元数 can also refer, in a broad sense, to complex and split complex numbers as well.

四元数 – しげんすう – quaternian
八元数 – はちげんすう – octonian

I think the japanese words for the higher dimensional numbers are particularly interesting. Somehow the more direct representations seem like they would be easier to understand than the latin prefixes.
