Phases of Matter
Continuing with chemistry and physics, this week is states of matter.
気体 – ããŸã„ – gas
液体 – ãˆããŸã„ – liquid
固体 – ã“ãŸã„ – solid
Be careful to differentiate “solid†from the similar word:
個体 – ã“ãŸã„ – individual
相 – ãㆠ– phase
気相 – vapor phase
液相 – liquid phase
固相 – solid phase
相転移 – ãã†ã¦ã‚“ã„ – phase transition
èžç‚¹ – ゆã†ã¦ã‚“ – melting point
沸点 – ãµã£ã¦ã‚“ – boiling point
臨界点 – ã‚Šã‚“ã‹ã„ã¦ã‚“ – critical point
